Kweli.shop offers flexible payment options to help customers buy eligible genuine appliances, electronics, solar equipment and complete solar systems in a more manageable way.

Our goal is to make quality products more accessible while keeping the process clear, fair and sustainable for both the customer and Kweli.shop.

These terms explain how Kweli flexible payment options work, how payments are made, when delivery happens, when ownership transfers, and what happens if a customer changes, pauses, defaults on or terminates a payment plan.

By submitting a flexible payment application, accepting an approved payment schedule, making a payment under an approved plan or receiving a product under a flexible payment arrangement, you agree to these Flexible Payment Terms and Conditions.

1. Parties to the Agreement

In these terms:

“Kweli.shop”, “Kweli”, “Vendor”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Dreamstar Digital Ltd trading as Kweli.shop.

“Customer”, “Buyer”, “you” or “your” means the person applying for, approved for or using a Kweli flexible payment option.

2. Nature of Kweli Flexible Payments

Kweli flexible payment options are product purchase arrangements offered by Kweli.shop on eligible products.

They are designed to help customers pay for selected products in a more manageable way. They are not cash loans, money-lending services, banking services, deposit-taking services, savings products or credit products.

Kweli does not give cash to customers, lend money to customers or charge interest on a loan principal. The customer is paying for a selected product or order from Kweli.shop according to an approved payment arrangement.

Unless Kweli expressly issues and signs a separate written hire purchase agreement with the customer, these terms are not intended to create a hire purchase agreement. The customer is buying an eligible product from Kweli.shop under an approved product payment schedule.

Where a product is delivered before full payment, the delivery is conditional. The customer may use the product, but ownership remains with Kweli until all payments under the approved schedule have been completed and verified.

3. Flexible Payment Options Available

Kweli.shop may offer the following payment options on eligible products.

  • Pay in Full

You pay the full product price before delivery or, where approved, upon delivery.

This is the simplest purchase option and is similar to a standard cash purchase.

  • Kweli Advance

Apply. Get approved. Pay 70%. Receive in 2-7 days.

Under Kweli Advance, approved customers pay 70% upfront after approval. After the upfront payment has been received and verified, the order is processed for delivery within 2-7 calendar days, subject to stock availability, delivery location and order confirmation.

The remaining balance is cleared according to the approved schedule, not exceeding 6 weekly or monthly instalments.

  • Kweli Smart Instalments

Start small. Pay consistently. Receive after the required payment milestone. Clear the balance.

Kweli Smart Instalments allow approved customers to split the product price into either 6 or 10 scheduled payments.

For the 6-payment plan, delivery is processed after 4 consistent payments.

For the 10-payment plan, delivery is processed after 7 consistent payments.

The remaining instalments are paid after delivery according to the approved schedule.

A key benefit of Kweli Smart Instalments is that the approved product price is fixed for the customer during the approved payment period. This helps protect the customer from market price changes while they continue paying consistently.

  • Kweli Save

Save gradually. Receive after full payment.

Kweli Save allows customers to make flexible payments towards an eligible product. Delivery is processed after the full product price has been paid and verified.

Kweli Save does not involve early delivery. The benefit is that the approved product price is fixed for the customer during the approved savings period, unless otherwise agreed or the customer goes beyond the approved period.

4. Product Eligibility

Flexible payment options are available on eligible products.

Each product shows or confirms the payment options available for that product. Eligibility is determined by product category, product value, stock availability, supplier terms, delivery location, customer verification, payment history and the selected payment option.

After reviewing an application, Kweli will give one of the following outcomes:

  • Approved
  • Approved with a different payment option
  • Pending, subject to additional information
  • Not approved

Where an application is not approved, Kweli can recommend another payment option where one is available.

5. Application and Approval

Submitting an application starts the review process. Approval is confirmed only after Kweli has reviewed the application and issued an approved payment schedule.

Kweli reviews each application using the information provided by the customer and any additional information required for verification. This can include identity details, contact details, delivery location, employment or business information, income information, payment history and order details.

Where National ID or another form of identification is required, the customer must provide accurate and valid information.

For Kweli Advance and selected Kweli Smart Instalment applications, married customers are required to confirm spousal awareness and consent where Kweli requests it as part of the review process.

Kweli declines applications where the information provided is incomplete, false, unverifiable, inconsistent or unsuitable for the selected payment option.

6. Approved Payment Schedule

Once approved, Kweli will confirm the selected product, product price, payment option, upfront payment where applicable, instalment amount, payment frequency, delivery milestone and balance payment schedule.

The approved payment schedule is the customer’s official payment guide for that specific application or order.

The customer is expected to pay according to the approved schedule unless Kweli approves a change in writing.

Any delivery charges, installation charges, special handling charges, accessories, product upgrades or optional add-ons that are not included in the approved schedule will be confirmed separately where applicable.

7. Payments and Payment Methods

Customers must pay through approved Kweli payment channels only.

Approved payment methods may include:

  • Bank transfer

  • Bank deposit

  • MTN Mobile Money

  • Airtel Money Pay

  • Flexipay

  • Cash, where accepted by Kweli

Kweli will advise the appropriate payment method at the time of approval or payment.

Customers must use their order number or invoice number as the payment reference for easier verification.

Payments are considered received only after Kweli has verified them.

Customers should keep proof of payment and submit it when requested.

Do not pay to personal numbers, unofficial accounts or payment channels that have not been confirmed by Kweli through official channels.

8. Delivery Under Flexible Payment Plans

Delivery is handled according to the approved payment option, stock availability, verified payment and confirmed delivery details.

  • Kweli Advance Delivery

For approved Kweli Advance orders, delivery is processed within 2-7 calendar days after the required 70% upfront payment has been verified, provided the product is in stock and the delivery details are confirmed.

  • Kweli Smart Instalments Delivery

For the 6-payment plan, delivery is processed after 4 consistent payments.

For the 10-payment plan, delivery is processed after 7 consistent payments.

The customer continues paying the remaining instalments after delivery according to the approved payment schedule.

  • Kweli Save Delivery

For Kweli Save, delivery is processed after the full product price has been paid and verified, provided the product is in stock and the delivery details are confirmed.

  • Delivery Charges

Kweli confirms any applicable delivery charges before dispatch.

Free delivery applies only where Kweli confirms that the product and delivery location qualify for free delivery.

Solar panels, bulky items, solar batteries, special-order products and selected high-value equipment require delivery confirmation before dispatch.

9. Ownership and Care of Products Delivered Before Full Payment

Where Kweli delivers a product before full payment has been completed, the customer receives physical possession and use of the product, but ownership remains with Kweli until the full approved payment amount has been completed and verified.

The customer must take proper care of the product and must not sell, transfer, pledge, lend, hide, dispose of, modify or misuse it before completing payment.

After the final payment has been made and verified, ownership transfers to the customer.

This arrangement protects the customer’s access to the product while also protecting Kweli against non-payment or misuse before full payment is completed.

10. Stock, Model Changes and Product Availability

Kweli will make reasonable efforts to supply the product selected by the customer.

If the selected product model becomes unavailable, delayed, discontinued or replaced before delivery, Kweli may offer one of the following options:

  • Wait for the selected model
  • Accept a similar model
  • Accept an upgraded or newer model where available
  • Change to another product
  • Terminate the plan according to these terms

Any material product change, price difference or delivery delay will be communicated before delivery.

Kweli is not responsible for supplier delays, discontinued models, import delays or manufacturer changes outside its control.

11. Change of Product or Payment Plan

A customer may request to change the product, payment plan or payment schedule before delivery.

If the customer has paid 50% or less of the approved plan amount, Kweli may allow the change without a change fee, subject to approval, product availability and any price difference.

If the customer has paid more than 50% of the approved plan amount, a change fee not exceeding 10% of the original plan amount may apply to help cover administrative, restocking or repricing costs.

Any amount already paid will be applied to the revised plan after applicable charges have been deducted.

Kweli is not obliged to approve every change request, but each request will be reviewed fairly.

12. Missed Payments

The customer must pay according to the approved schedule.

If the customer expects a delay, they should contact Kweli before the payment becomes overdue. Kweli may, at its discretion, allow a grace period or revised arrangement.

If the customer repeatedly misses payments, delays payments, refuses to clear outstanding amounts or breaches these terms, Kweli may pause delivery, withhold delivery, review the payment plan, suspend flexible payment privileges, terminate the plan or take lawful recovery steps.

If a customer misses more than three consecutive payments, Kweli may terminate the flexible payment plan.

Where a product has already been delivered, the customer may be responsible for reasonable recovery, transport, repair, inspection, collection or legal costs if Kweli has to recover the product because of default.

13. Termination by the Customer

A customer may request to terminate a flexible payment plan before delivery.

If termination is approved before delivery, Kweli will refund amounts paid, less a deduction of 10% of the total amount already paid under the plan.

The refund will usually be processed within 14 working days from the approved termination date.

Termination after delivery is not automatic. Where the product has already been delivered, Kweli may require the customer to complete payment, return the product, pay applicable charges or follow another approved resolution process.

14. Termination by Kweli

Kweli may terminate a flexible payment plan if:

  • The customer misses more than three consecutive payments
  • The customer provides false or misleading information
  • The customer refuses to pay outstanding amounts
  • The customer breaches these terms
  • The customer sells, transfers, hides, damages or misuses a product before full payment
  • The selected product becomes unavailable and no suitable replacement is accepted
  • Kweli reasonably determines that the plan can no longer continue

Where Kweli terminates the plan before delivery because of customer default, Kweli will refund amounts paid, less a deduction of 20% of the total amount already paid.

Refunds are usually processed within 14 working days from the approved termination date.

Where the product has already been delivered, Kweli may recover possession of the product and deduct reasonable costs for collection, transport, inspection, depreciation, damage, missing accessories, repair or other losses caused by the customer.

15. Warranty

Products supplied by Kweli.shop are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty and Kweli’s standard product guarantee, provided the warranty terms are followed.

Warranty coverage starts from the date of delivery, not from the date of application or first payment.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, poor installation by unauthorised persons, power surges where protection was required, physical damage, water damage, unauthorised repairs, negligence, tampering or use outside the product’s intended purpose.

A warranty claim does not cancel the customer’s obligation to complete payment under the approved schedule.

16. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are handled according to Kweli.shop’s Returns, Refunds and Warranty Policy.

Flexible payment deductions, change fees, delivery charges, recovery costs, repair costs, missing accessory costs or other approved charges may apply where relevant.

Refunds are made only to the customer or payment channel verified by Kweli, unless Kweli approves a different arrangement in writing.

17. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate application and contact information
  • Pay according to the approved schedule
  • Use official Kweli payment channels only
  • Use the order number or invoice number as payment reference
  • Keep proof of payment
  • Inform Kweli early if payment will be delayed
  • Inspect the product upon delivery
  • Take proper care of any product delivered before full payment
  • Not sell, transfer, pledge or dispose of any product before full payment
  • Complete all outstanding payments according to the approved plan

18. Kweli’s Responsibilities and Rights

Kweli will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Review applications fairly
  • Confirm the approved payment schedule clearly
  • Process verified payments correctly
  • Deliver according to the approved plan
  • Communicate important updates to the customer
  • Honour applicable warranty and support obligations

Kweli reserves the right to:

  • Approve or reject any flexible payment application
  • Limit flexible payment options to eligible products
  • Request additional information before approval
  • Withhold delivery until payment milestones are met
  • Cancel a plan where the customer breaches these terms
  • Recover products delivered before full payment in case of default
  • Update these terms from time to time
  • Refuse future flexible payment applications from customers who default, misuse products or breach these terms

19. Fraud, Misrepresentation and Abuse

Kweli may cancel an application, terminate a plan, withhold delivery, recover products or take lawful action if the customer:

  • Provides false information
  • Uses another person’s identity without consent
  • Submits forged documents
  • Gives misleading employment, income or location details
  • Attempts to sell or transfer a product before full payment
  • Refuses to cooperate with reasonable verification or recovery
  • Uses the flexible payment option for fraud or abuse

Kweli may report suspected fraud to the relevant authorities.

20. Data and Privacy

Kweli may collect and process customer information for application review, payment tracking, delivery, customer support, fraud prevention, debt recovery, warranty handling and compliance purposes.

Customer data is handled according to Kweli.shop’s Data and Privacy Policy.

By applying for a flexible payment option, the customer consents to Kweli using the provided information for reasonable verification, support, delivery and account management purposes.

21. Communication

Kweli may communicate with the customer through phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp, email or other contact details provided during the application or order process.

The customer must keep their contact details updated.

Notices sent to the customer’s registered phone number, WhatsApp number or email address may be treated as delivered unless the customer has notified Kweli of a change.

22. Limitation of Liability

Kweli will make reasonable efforts to fulfil approved orders, process payments correctly and deliver products according to the approved plan.

However, Kweli is not responsible for delays caused by supplier stock issues, courier delays, wrong customer information, payment verification delays, public holidays, weather, traffic, import delays, regulatory issues or other events outside Kweli’s reasonable control.

Kweli’s liability under a flexible payment arrangement shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant product, except where the law provides otherwise.

23. Changes to These Terms

Kweli may update these Flexible Payment Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to the customer is the version accepted at the time of application approval or first payment, unless both parties agree to updated terms in writing.

24. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.

Any dispute arising from these terms shall first be handled through good-faith discussion between the customer and Kweli.

If the matter is not resolved, it may be handled according to applicable Ugandan law and dispute resolution procedures.
