Kweli.shop and Code Academy Uganda are excited to announce a partnership aimed at promoting computer science education among children in Uganda.
Code Academy Uganda is a company dedicated to expanding access to computer science education with a unique focus on coding. This is implemented in three (3) core programs; code school, code clubs and code camps.
We are very excited to team up with Kweli.shop for greater reach and impact, said Edward Ssempala, Executive Director. We are confident that this partnership will enable us to reach more children and give them an opportunity to become digital creators and get set for a digital future at an early age, he added.
As the children are still in the longest holiday of the year Code Academy Uganda has organised a Code Camp for vacationers and holidaymakers from the 9th to 27th of January 2022 to be conducted online via Zoom and at IAC Training LAB, ICT House, Parliamentary Avenue Kampala.
Modules to be covered include scratch beginners, scratch intermediate, python beginners, python intermediate and advanced.
Stephen Obeli Someday, the CEO of Kweli.shop says the company is happy to contribute to the preparation of every Ugandan child for a ‘smart’, digital future and the company is hopeful that efforts like this will help Uganda match up with the rest of the world in as far as technology is concerned.
